This short skills building course offers participants an introduction to the three key elements of an effective committee member induction process i.e.:

• Introducing a new person to the organisation
• Ways to comfortably introduce the new person to his or her fellow committee members
• Introducing the new person to the role and responsibilities of a committee member.

Completion Time

This skills builder takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Target Audience

‘New Committee Member Induction‘ is designed for people who are responsible for preparing new board or committee members for their roles as trustees of charities or voluntary groups.

Commence the Course & General Instructions

Once you are enrolled on the course:

1. Please progress through each of the lessons in the course sequentially.

3. Some lesson pages contain interactive resources. To open an interactive resource, click the orange ‘Launch’ button contained on the web page. Click on the ‘Next’ buttons or arrows within each interactive resource to move from one screen to the next within each of these resources.
4. Document names in blue within a lesson or topic page denote that the document is available to download. Just click on the document name (in blue) to open it for viewing and download.
