Workshop Overview

This interactive workshop will take place via Zoom on March 24th  2026 from 10am – 12pm.

This interactive workshop, “Writing Funding Applications”, offers a comprehensive exploration of the entire grant application process, guiding participants through the golden rules of crafting a compelling case and highlighting frequent pitfalls to avoid. You will learn how to structure persuasive Needs Statements and effectively scope and evidence the necessity of your project or cause. The workshop also covers communicating your Theory of Change, articulating your Needs, Solution, and Benefits Model, and assembling detailed project budgets and quotes, ensuring you are fully equipped to submit strong applications.

In addition to essential grant writing techniques, this workshop places a special emphasis on the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to accelerate and enhance the application process. You will see firsthand how to leverage AI for research and streamlining the drafting of funding applications. Whether you are new to grant writing or seeking to refine your approach, this session provides invaluable insights to help funding proposal outcomes.

Caroline is founder and Managing Director of CramdenTECH Ltd. She is a highly experienced business and training professional with a career spanning over three decades in both senior and middle management roles within third-level institutions in Ireland and Finland, as well as the non-profit sector. Currently serving as Managing Director of a leading capacity building, e-learning, and training consultancy, she brings twenty years’ lecturing and training expertise in business and industry topics, and seventeen years specialising in social enterprise development, strategic and business planning, corporate governance, fundraising, and communications for non-profits in Ireland. Caroline’s extensive background also includes international marketing management, instructional design, and hands-on experience supporting staff and directors across numerous organisations.

Participants will also be equipped to assemble project budgets and quotes, organise supporting documentation, monitor project impact, and leverage AI tools to speed up the process of writing their funding applications.
