Workshop Overview

This interactive workshop will take place via Zoom on October 13th, 2026 from 10am – 12pm.

This workshop is designed to give participants a clear, practical foundation for understanding how environmental, social, and economic factors shape long‑term decision‑making. It introduces the core principles of sustainability, the pressures driving change, and the opportunities that arise when organisations adopt forward‑looking strategies. Through examples and frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, learners will have an opportunity to hear why sustainability is no longer optional, but essential for organisational resilience, responsible leadership, and community wellbeing.

Trainer:

Caroline Egan M.B.S., B.B.S., Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law (Kings Inns)

Caroline is founder and Managing Director of CramdenTECH Ltd. She is a highly experienced business and training professional with a career spanning over three decades in both senior and middle management roles within third-level institutions in Ireland and Finland, as well as the non-profit sector. Currently serving as Managing Director of a leading capacity building, e-learning, and training consultancy, she brings twenty years’ lecturing and training expertise in business and industry topics, and seventeen years specialising in social enterprise development, strategic and business planning, corporate governance, fundraising, and communications for non-profits in Ireland. Caroline’s extensive background also includes international marketing management, instructional design, and hands-on experience supporting staff and directors across numerous organisations.

Target Audience:

This workshop is designed for board members and managers who are tasked with strategic and operational planning in their organisations. Training topics may also be of interest to community and voluntary groups who wish to learn more about sustainability as it applies to community development.

Workshop Content:

This workshop guides participants through the practical steps of sustainability planning—from identifying priority issues and engaging stakeholders to setting measurable goals and tracking progress. The emphasis is on realistic, actionable approaches that can be applied in workplaces, community groups, or personal projects. By the end of the session, learners leave with the confidence to begin shaping their own sustainability initiatives and the tools to support meaningful, long‑term impact.
