According to a new report carried out by Goodbody Stockbrokers, Ireland is on track to be the fastest-growing economy in the euro area for four years in a row in the period from 2014 – 2017.
No other country has ever achieved this.
The report shows that the Irish economy is experiencing its strongest growth in 15 years. Despite a sluggish growth in the euro area, Ireland’s expansion is going from strength to strength. GDP growth of 6.6% is expected in 2015, followed by 4.5% and 3.8% in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
