This week the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland has welcomed the Government’s reaffirmation of its commitment to the 12.5% corporate tax rate.

They corporate tax rate has been one of Ireland’s strong calling cards for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) over the years.

The American Chamber of Commerce represents 700 American companies in Ireland, who employ 140,000 people. The organisation stated that the reductions in the USC rates will enhance Ireland’s competitiveness in international battle to retain and attract talent. The organisation also welcomed the introduction of a new tax credit and changes to gains tax regime for the self-employed.
