Trading in Irish shares has rose by 29 per cent year-on-year at the end of the third quarter in 2015 while an additional 5,429 new debt securities were added to the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) in the first nine months of the year.
The ISEQ is up 18 per cent in the first nine months of the year and the stock exchange is reporting strong activity in government bonds and treasury bills.
The latest figure from ISE show there are 34,000 securities from 80 countries listed on its markets.
